The pregnancy record keeps itself
Clivita for gynaecologists. Dating, gestational age, gravida and para, and the growth curve are worked out from what you already entered — not counted again on a paper card at every visit.
Date a pregnancy
Same maths as the appFirst day of the last menstrual period
Enter a date above.
Four things you currently do twice
Spin the wheel for the EDD, recount the weeks at every visit
Dating goes in once. Gestational age is derived from it, and it is right on the day you open the file.
Re-date after a scan and the old figure disappears
A re-date is a new entry, not an overwrite. The earlier dating stays on the record, marked superseded, with the reason.
Recount G, P and the TPAL breakdown by hand from the history
Derived from a baseline you enter once plus the pregnancies Clivita tracks — so a patient who had three children before she ever walked into your clinic still counts correctly.
Fundal heights down the margin of a paper card
Plotted as a curve as you enter them, with a flag when a measurement sits outside the expected range for the gestational age.
The two numbers you recount most
Fundal height, plotted as you enter it
Drag the last pointFour antenatal visits. The band is the ±3 cm expected range for the gestational age, which the app checks only between 24 and 37 weeks — outside that window, and for twins, it says nothing rather than flagging noise.
Where gravida and para come from
A baseline for what happened before Clivita, plus the pregnancies it tracks. Turn the baseline off to see what a bare row count would tell you about a patient who had three pregnancies before she met you.
Re-dating keeps the trail
Correct the dates after a scan and the earlier dating stays on the record, marked superseded, with its reason. You can see how the date moved and why.
Reproductive and gynae history
Menstrual pattern, contraception, previous surgery and screening status — the baseline you would otherwise ask for twice, with what is overdue visible.
Delivery and the newborn
Close the pregnancy with its outcome, one row per neonate. A newborn becomes a patient in your clinic without re-entering anything. Reopen it if it was closed in error.
It follows the doctor, not the clinic
A multi-specialty clinic is one Clivita account. The obstetrics screens appear for doctors holding the gynaecology specialty and stay out of everyone else's way. Editing is a separate permission from viewing.
Using this in your practice?
We would rather leave this space empty than fill it with a quote we made up. If you are running an antenatal clinic on Clivita and it has changed how your day goes, tell us — and it will be your words here, with your name on them.
Get in touchQuestions gynaecologists ask
- Does the whole clinic have to be a gynaecology clinic?
- No. Specialty is set per doctor, so a clinic running a gynaecologist alongside a general physician and a dentist is one Clivita account. The obstetrics screens appear only for the doctors assigned the gynaecology specialty.
- What happens to a patient who already had three pregnancies before I started using Clivita?
- You enter her baseline counts once. Gravida, para and TPAL are worked out from that baseline plus the pregnancies Clivita tracks, so the numbers stay correct instead of starting from zero.
- Can I correct the expected delivery date after a dating scan?
- Yes. A re-dating is recorded as a new entry with its reason, and the earlier dating is kept and marked superseded. You can see how the date moved and why.
- Does it cost more than a normal Clivita seat?
- No. The obstetrics features are part of the same Rs 5,500 per doctor, per month seat, with one free staff seat included. There are no specialty add-ons and no feature tiers.
- Does it work without reliable internet?
- Clivita is a desktop app rather than a browser tab, so it opens from your desktop like any other program. It does need a connection to sync — a demo is the honest way to see whether it fits your setup.
